The Four Roots of Autoimmunity

Core Thesis of the Episode
Autoimmune conditions don’t arise from a single cause.
They emerge when multiple systems lose coherence simultaneously.

When circadian disruption, toxicity, infections, and trauma stack together the immune system loses its ability to regulate, distinguish self vs. non-self, and respond appropriately.
The Four Pillars Explained
1. Circadian Rhythms (The Foundation Layer)
Your biology is governed by light.
- The body runs on a 24-hour clock regulated by the brain’s master clock (SCN)
- Every organ and immune cell has its own internal timing system
- When this timing breaks → immune dysfunction begins
When Circadian Rhythm Breaks:
- Low melatonin → loss of immune control
- Low vitamin D → increased inflammation
- Poor mitochondrial function → immune misfiring
Practical Protocol:
- Morning sunlight within 15–20 minutes of waking
- Minimum 30 minutes daily exposure
- Eliminate blue light at night (phones, screens, LEDs)
- Sleep in complete darkness
- Eat:
→ First meal → near sunrise
→ Last meal → near sunset
→ Last meal → near sunset
- No food 2+ hours before bed

2. Toxicity (The Load That Distorts the System)
We are living in a “toxic soup” and exposed to hundreds of chemicals daily.
Sources Include:
- Heavy metals (mercury, lead, aluminum)
- Plastics & endocrine disruptors
- Mold / mycotoxins
- Pesticides & glyphosate
- Personal care products
- EMFs (electromagnetic frequencies)
Key Mechanisms:
- Neo-antigen formation
→ Toxins bind to tissues → immune system flags them as threats
→ Leads to attacks on your own body
